This Sneeboer Old Dutch Style planting trowel is a go-to for all of your planting & gardening tasks. It's sharp, rounded sides and pointed tip makes cutting through soil unbelievably easy. Perfect for planting bulbs, seedlings or small plants, for breaking up or turning soil, or for separating smaller perennials. It's also much loved British gardener Monty Don's favourite tool!
This trowel's hand-forged stainless steel head will stay sharp, providing you with a lifetime of use in the garden. It also features a cherry hardwood handle.
As this is an Old Dutch Style trowel, the technique is different to what you might be used to! The weight is heavy and the balance is different. Instead of scooping, use it the same way you would use an axe. Penetrate the soil and move the trowel forwards and backwards - this will create the perfect planting hole.
