This Medium Grade mix is a good general-purpose option for most indoor plants. The nugget sizes are approx. 3-9mm in size. This mix is also available in a Fine Grade for seedlings, plants with fine roots or newly rooted plants, or a coarser Variegated Leaf Potting Mix for variegated type plants.
This premium blend is comprised of orchid bark, tree fern fibre, pumice, and powdered hardwood charcoal, a custom blend of 'bio-active' nutrients that are known to assist plants in overcoming transplant shock, encouraging growth and a proprietary blend of microbial inoculants to support root health and assist with nutrient absorption. This free-draining mix holds enough water to keep the mix moist without becoming waterlogged. It also allows for plenty of air to circulate through the potting mix.
The mix is inoculated with a proprietary blend of fungi, bacteria and yeasts to boost nutrient availability and general root health. This means you may notice fungal threads or mushrooms sprouting up from time to time; this is actually a good sign and indicates healthy soil!
Watering Frequency: Approx. every 2-4 days in summer, or 4-7+ days in winter. A good rule of thumb is to let the top 3cm of the potting mixture dry out before watering.
