The GR Pro Lightweight Secateurs are perfect for lighter pruning or work that requires extra precision. They are also a great choice for those with smaller or weaker hands.
These lightweight secateurs compromise slightly on strength, in return for extra precision. They features a slender bypass blade to handle the daintiest of snips, an ergonomic handle, smooth spring action and chunky lock clasp at the bottom.
The lightweight secateurs are slightly smaller than the regular Niwaki secateurs.
TIP: All cutting tools are strongest at the pivot end - avoid cutting thicker stems with the tips.

Usage:
- Japanese steel is hard and sharp. To avoid chips and preserve the steel edge, do not cut wire, metal, stone, or plastic.
- Do not twist or apply uneven pressure
- It’s better to cut diagonally across branches (not straight across), so you cut along the fibres
- For heavier cuts, make sure you’re using the base of the blades (not the tips)
How to get the most out of these pruners:
- Clean with a Clean Mate, Rust Eraser and sap eraser
- Sharpen with a #1000 grit stone
- Protect with Camelia Oil
- Watch out with these as Japanese steel gets better and sharper so they get more brittle
